Number of Team Entry Criteria:
Each recognized golf league with four teams will be allowed two entries into the team divisional competition with the second place team qualifying by the criteria listed below. Five or six team leagues will be allowed three entries into the team divisional competition with the second and third place teams qualifying by the criteria listed below. Seven or eight team leagues will be allowed four entries into the team divisional competition with the second, third and fourth place teams qualifying by the criteria listed below
Team Qualifying Criteria:
To be eligible for team divisional competition, all second, third and fourth place teams must have achieved a best nine-hole score of 240 or lower on a par 36 course, 235 or lower or lower on a par 35 course, 230 or lower on a par 34 course, etc., for any six matches during the season to qualify for entry. Qualifying scores must be verified by each league on the entry form prior to entry.
At-large petitions will be accepted for consideration of entry into the Team Divisional Tournament on a space available basis. These teams will not travel to the same divisional as the other schools in their league.
At-Large Team Criteria:
- Leagues may submit one additional school for at-large consideration. The petition must be received in the CIF-SS office by Friday, October 19, 2012 by 12:00p.m. Only schools next in line in order of finish in league may be submitted for consideration, i.e. 4th place in a 6 team league or 5th place in an 8 team league.
- Must produce the minimum number of team qualifying scores (listed above).
- Must submit a post-season roster #1-6 plus alternate (in case entry is accepted).
*At-large teams will be selected after consideration of all submitted petitions based upon space availability in the tournament. Selections will be made by members of the Girl\'s Golf Advisory Committee. NOTE: Teams selected as an \"at-large\" entrant will not be competing at the same site as the other schools from their league.
It will be the responsibility of each League Final Manager to verify that the league\'s second, third and fourth place entries meet this standard. |
